Criteria for Assessment [Speaking Test]
旼rammar and vocabulary: Accurate and appropriate use of syntactic forms and vocabulary in order to meet task requirements
Discourse management: Range, coherence, extent. Use of range of linguistic resources to organize sentences to form text. Ability to use language beyond sentence level in order to meet task requirements: coherence, sequencing, relevance, use of cohesive devices.
昉ronunciation: Production of individual sounds, appropriate linking of words, word stress, stress timing, highlighting of words to indicate information or reinforce a message, use of contrasting pitch levels to convey meaning. Use of all these contributes to the meeting of task requirements.
旾nteractive communication: Turn-taking, initiating and responding, listening, understanding and speaking as appropriate, contributing positively to development of task, ability to maintain and in necessary, repair interaction.
